Candlewood Suites Kansas City - Independence by IHG

Our rooms were clean and everything was very modern and nice looking. I loved having a kitchenette. The full sized fridge was amazing for storing our travel foods and the freezer refroze our ice packs for our coolers. We were able to have a hot tea before bed to conclude a very long day. Service was good, pool and hot tub were large and functioning. I worked out in the gym and everything was clean and in working order. All in all, a great experience. Thank you.

My Father in law and I stayed for several days while cleaning out 3 storage units. (So yes I love the jacuzzi and pool after a long day doing that). The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. If I ever need a place to stay in the area again… this will be my go to place. The room was super clean and spacious. I loved to mini kitchenette. They have a snack area where you can purchase a variety of drinks, frozen food, snacks, toiletries, Ice cream,etc. Right past the reception area they have an area you can borrow items. There are several types of restaurants and shopping with in walking distance.

The rooms were great. They were clean and plenty of room. The staff were nice. Plenty of dining options in the area. But the rooms are also equipped with a kitchenette, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, silverware, garbage disposal everything that you could want if you don’t wanna go out to eat, you can stay right in your room and have a quiet night to yourself. I inadvertently left my Apple Watch in the room when I checked out, and when I realized it, my heart about stopped. I called them as soon as I realized and they said that they found it, so apparently housekeeping turned it in and that’s fabulous! They said they would put it up for me for when I come back out to that area, which lucky for me, I go out there a couple of times a month. Believe me I am very thankful that they turned it in. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that I get to watch back when I go back out there! A few days later, I just so happened to have been checking voice messages, which I don’t really check voice messages very often, but I had a voice message from them calling me even before I called them to let me know that they found my watch! They are fantastic! I will be spending many more nights with them in the future since I travel for work to that area quite often, and I was very pleased with the hotel overall!

The things I didn't like is the elevator is super slow, for only 4 floors it took forever. The water took forever to heat up in our room, and the shower curtain was too short and soaked the floor into the sleeping area. Other than that it was super clean nice and friendly staff and comfortable beds

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Pool and hottub were nice. And pool table was cool.

It was a great experience from check-in to check-out. We had two queen beds and a full kitchen. There was plenty of room for our 2 girls to play. The pool and hot tub are salt water and we still haven't stopped talking about how good our skin felt. We had a couple of inquiries for the day and night staff and they both gave great customer service!Looking forward to staying again!

It was an amazing trip. I very much enjoyed cooking, and the salt water pool. Oh and don't forget the nice back patio to sit on, talk, and BBQ with friends.

Stayed while attending an event at Cable Dahmer. Super convenient to walk to the arena (weather permitting). Rooms were clean, plenty of parking, service was great. Would 100% stay again if in the area.
